As mid-sized investment banks have been engulfed by mega-firms, interest in the middle market has waned or been relegated to step-child business units. In today’s market, the mega-firms are driven to pursue only large transactions. This “up-market mandate” creates a structural barrier to quality service for middle-market companies.

While Challenger is not a mega-firm, we are also not a “boutique.” Rather, we are an institutional-grade financial services firm with a level of talent not normally seen by the middle market.
